Howdy Saturn!
Howdy, Earthizens and Outlaw Aliens! Do you like to read? How would you like to go on a cosmic trip into the wilds of outer space? Well, you’re in the right place! Welcome to Bucktown! I’m Buck Moon and this is my book, "Howdy Saturn!". It’s a bunch of space cowboy poems for all ages, blendin’ the spirit of Shel Silverstein, Wild West adventure, time travel, real-life sitchieations, romantic tomfoolery, and a whole lot of imagination. Along the trail, you’ll meet a two-legged lamb, a lil’ wily goat, a turtle on the run to Mexico, and so much more!
I wrote these poems while ramblin’ round the Milky Way, then drew the pictures on ye ol’ computer. It’s for kids, families, and anyone under the sun with a sense of wonder, but it’s especially for the kids! The whole universe awaits you inside this book, so grab your copy right here! Hee-yah!
What is Bucktown?
Birthplace of Buck Moon. Home of Bucktown Records. Population: 100 Bazillion.
Deep in the heart of the Wild Blue Yonder, you'll find Bucktown—a town as timeless as it is out-of-this-world. Nestled at the foot of the Holy Moly Mountains, Bucktown blends the Spirit of the Wild West with the strange wonders of other dimensions. Founded long before you were even a twinkle in your daddy's eye, this fantastic, new frontier town grew into a bustlin' hub of old-school charm and space exploration! Some folks call it a peaceful, easy-going place to live. Others? Well, they say it's lawless and buckwild. Guess you'll have to find out for yourself. One thing's for sure, the weather's always actin' weird here in Bucktown!
Who is Buck Moon?
Buck Moon is a riddle wrapped in a jackalope inside a sombrero. He is the Outlaw Poet and Cosmic Creator of this book, as well as many more to come. He writes cowboy poems, honky-tonk songs and time-travels across the furthest reaches of space and time in a flyin' chicken wang. On Earth, he owns and operates Bucktown Records, hosting his show Welcome to Bucktown, from behind the counter.
Born on the Day That'll Live in Infamy (just like him) in the Year of the Monkey, he's known by many names—but none more so than his birth-given one: Michael Wayne Roberts.
The Show
Welcome to Bucktown broadcasts from behind the counter at Bucktown Records, where Buck Moon shares space cowboy poems, songs, wild stories, and sometimes even hosts visits from space-traveling friends!
With a blend of live-action, collage, and whimsical animation, Welcome to Bucktown invites young and old viewers on a magical journey through time, tunes, and tall tales! Check back for showtimes at the Full Moon Drive-In!
Full Moon Drive-In
On the outskirts of Bucktown, just off Roadkill Highway, you'll find the Full Moon Drive-In Theater, a rusty relic of summer movie magic. Inspired by Buck's childhood memories of watching films with his sister and dad from the back of their Papa's red Toyota pickup, the theater has been revived to bring you a unique mix of entertainment. Featuring short poem movies, collage animations, starry-eyed meditations, and nature videos, our lineup sparks imagination and wonder for kids and families. Pack up the car, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind movie experience under the stars!
NOW PLAYING: AIN'T THAT QUAINT.
